About Us
Gridformers believes that the viability of the nation’s infrastructure must be resilient at every level by building upon the local community as the base. The local community withstanding any manmade or natural threat, ranging from cyber and electromagnetic attacks to extreme terrestrial and space weather, is also paramount to a strong framework toward national community resiliency. Building resiliency into the framework entails effective coordination between local distributed energy resources (DER) and the bulk power system allowing for the transition to better leverage DER resources, a capability not traditionally designed to work together.
Successful transitioning makes it possible for local energy systems to become reliable and self-funding while maintaining the financial viability of the regional grids. Incorporating the capability to minimize electromagnetic compatibility problems projected by DOE and NREL as the growing new cause of extensive power failures requiring ever faster recovery known as “grid forming,” is an outcome GridFormers seeks to achieve.
Gridformers invites you to collaborate with us to achieve local, national, economic, energy, environmental security, and local job security by contacting Chuck Manto, Cmanto@stop-EMP.com
